My japanese tutor told me today that when she was in high school in tokyo, and her and her friend would be on the train during rush hour from school or to school or whatever and there would be dirty men who would always put their hands up her friends skirt or shirt, and so I asked her “didn’t she kick him?! or something?!” and she said it was so packed that you could hardly move, let alone kick someone, so her friend started to carry a needle under her seifuku collar and whenever some man tried to touch her she would jab the needle in his hand and give the guy a dirty look. And the men couldn’t even make a noise or say “ouch” because then everyone would know that they were doing something bad. Then she told me every time her friend showed her the needle it was covered in blood hahaha
